A continuation of the Red Field studies, this work explores the sustained movement of a single wave form as it expands and folds into itself. The composition emphasizes flow over impact, allowing the structure to extend and breathe across the surface.
Set against a saturated red field, the black ink forms carry both weight and fluidity, shifting between controlled line and looser tonal passages. The contrast between the dense field of color and the open, untreated paper creates a tension between stillness and motion.
Subtle variations in mark-making and visible process — including registration marks and surface irregularities — reinforce the work as part of an ongoing disciplined practice rooted in repetition, refinement, and observation.
Connected to the broader Discipline of the Infinite series, this piece functions as a focused study of movement, energy, and formal balance.
