The studio work of John Biswell centers on structured explorations of force, rhythm, and repetition. Working primarily in panel format, these paintings investigate physical and spiritual energy through disciplined composition.

The ongoing series, Discipline of the Infinite, approaches elemental movement — waves, current, compression, release — not as landscape, but as architecture. Each piece is constructed through controlled line and restrained palette, where chaos is met with structure and repetition becomes a form of devotion.

Production is intentionally limited. A fixed number of panels are completed each year, emphasizing focus, permanence, and clarity over volume.

In addition to the core series, select works on paper and limited explorations extend this study of motion and symbolic form. These works maintain the same structural rigor while allowing for variation in scale and medium.
